Personally addressing the anti ai vs ai.
Few notes before i start:
While i use it for my own purposes OFF of the internet.
i do NOT use it for anything professional or ways to make money. and i never will. the only thing i do have is one ai concept from 5 years ago in an ai i literally don’t remember. i ALWAYS ask the artist if they are comfor table with it, if not that’s fine and i say good day. if they are cool! the reason why i’m NOT putting my referenc as a ai model, is cause i believe in supporting artists. and i really wanna be proud of my model. i don’t get upset or lash out if they arnt comfortable with it.
i also would NEVER throw art i commissioned into ai for that matter cause that would be an insult to the artist, and at the very least id ask and if its a no id respect that. but i truly dont think id ever ask, cause i dont want to throw the well drawn piece into ai to muck up, and i probably would feel uncomfortable
I support ANY vtuber, be it human made or ai, it doesn’t mean they are less of a human just for using a tool. they themselves didn’t steal anything from anyone, just as watching a video on an unofficial site isnt them stealing, it’s the person who uploaded who did / made the ai itself.
There is also ais that are created and trained offline as well on people’s own art, or on art willingly submitted.
also car factories pollute the air, yet you still drive, so claiming people want clean water, while people want clean air is bit hypocritical, needless to say water filters and air filters were created to CLEAN water and air.
Of course i will encourage people to use humans when possible for anything they wanna post or use publicly, but i won’t shame them or harass them if they do use ai or even if they use it publicly and not just for their own questions and what ifs. i am deeply saddened by people thinking ai vtubers arnt vtubers, when their is no commandments on what a vtuber is or should be. all a vtuber is, is a virtual youtuber (streamer) a anime person created to be used as a persona, no god ever said it HAD to be made by human. and turning someone away just for using ai refs is fine, but does push people to turn back to ai. but shaming them isn’t the answer either. and ASSUMING they are gonna throw your art that they hired you to make of their ai reference when they coulda just used ai again instead, makes an ass out of you.
By cyberbullying someone, you are no better. in fact you are worse, as it is a crime you CAN be arrested for. if you don’t like ai models just block and move on, stop with the call out posts. But ofc is i see call out posts, i’m put my opinions on, cause you started the negativity✌🏻

i wanna add that some people might be disabled and literally cant draw, or the free stuff just isnt the style they want. or they wanna be unique models and not all from a customizable one. i myself cannot draw, cause if i do my wrist literally screams to be self harmed due to ocd. i can doodle some stuff, but not full on vtubing stuff lol, if i need examples look at my media, thats how my arts always been since highschool and im now 28.
