My American friends, I'm facing a major problem here.
When I say I want to eat American BBQ,
some Americans say, "come to Texas," others say, "come to South Carolina,"
and still others say, "come to Missouri."
I'm confused.

@Sereph9 I’m guessing she was trying to see if you needed to talk about contraception, but again she shouldn’t have asked that way. Just a simple “do you need information on contraception” would be sufficient and wouldn’t make a patient feel weird

I had a doctor ask me at like 23 if I was sexually active, I said no, she asked me if I had ever had sex (which was unnecessary info and felt like an overstep to me) and I said no. And she was BEWILDERED. Asked me “oh waiting on the right person?” I was like uhm. No. Just haven’t

i'm early genz (28) and even when i was a kid these convos were happening. at 15 i had an adult wondering why i wasn't 'normal' and having sex. sex positive spaces will call you a prude and puritan for not having sex because they think it's a necessity and put it on a pedestal
