@JohnMoralesTV @NWS Your reports were acutely able to localize such weather events, at least more localized than 'there is a tornado somewhere across two counties, find shelter', keeping people alarmed not informed :(

@JohnMoralesTV @NWS Thanks, John, I'm not ignoring the many Broward tornado warnings right now, but our local tv stations sure are ignoring it. Times have changed big time since you were on-air w' huge storms approached, I dearly relied on your NBC6 reports, especially tornados with a hurricane :(

The good news is that #HurricaneMilton is *finally* in a weakening phase. The bad news is that its starting point was a solid Cat-5, and that the wind field is now expanding. More water will be driven to the west coast of #Florida. Distances in this table are in nautical miles.

Intensity trends in Milton are going in the wrong direction. Remotely-measured wind speed 165+ knots (190 mph) measured around 6:20 pm EDT by @53rdWRS. The stronger #Milton gets tonight, the more it will take on Wednesday to bring the intensity down to the NHC prediction of Cat 3
