Pink - add a relevant quote from the list below, blue - use a keyword from the list below, Green - add an evaluation using these sentence starters, red, add a different point of view etc

For 12 markers, how do you ensure DIRT/feedback is engaging and/or useful? Especially with lower-attaining students? I’m really struggling with this! Advice from anyone welcome, CC’ing @missdcox @RE_McGEE

Please find the link to the PPT slides below. Please feel free to edit and use these slides as you feel necessary. I hope they can help as a guide, on a very sensitive subject. schoolcompliancesupport.co.uk/schoolppts

The multi-cultural PPT assemblies I had planned were due out in November. For obvious reasons, these are now first out in September. For all that would like the slides, please let me know.

🧵 To support our PSHE programme, our form tutors deliver some of the PSHE content to their forms. This is delivered via seven PSHE weeks across the year. Students have 4x20min sessions across the week. During the half term break, I have been creating sessions and booklets…

@Geo_Dougie @mollselbs @Jennnnnn_x I have a family account but I’m the bill payer. I’m wonder if it’s because I have a Canadian account and this service has only become available to UK users. I may have to cancel my Canadian account and sign up here in the UK

🚨PSA: If you have Spotify premium they have now included audiobooks in the subscription. You get about 16 hours a month of listening and they have some great titles on there! What else should I add to my list?

I’m in search of more teacher/tech “hacks” A little while ago I saw a thread of useful tech tips for teaching (like pressing b or w while on a presentation to black or white out the screen). What’s your fav teacher of tech hack?

@CampbellGeog Behaviour is one of the most soul crushing parts of the job and I really feel for you. It’s so frustrating. I’ll dm you at some point this weekend to let you know what I’ve found helpful for my most difficult classes

@CampbellGeog I give automatic warnings for walking in loudly (or make them go out and try again). I sit the few who are especially disruptive separate from each other & have hawk eyes on them. Calls home also help. It’s def easier when it’s a fresh start but it’s not impossible to turn around

Behaviour policy and support in my school is excellent. Even with this I've completely 'lost' this year 8 class. I know all the things I should do and I'm trying but getting nowhere. I know it's not all of them. Haven't felt like this since my NQT 😕

Every child no matter their geographical location should have the same opportunities to succeed. The differences across regions and between the north and south is quite clear to see and this trend has been the same for as long as I’ve been teaching.

@CampbellGeog Just saw this! I really need to get out of the habit of leaving detailed feedback in every book. I’ve heard from some that it’s not helpful and from others that I should be doing it. That’s what gets me spending hours on marking!

I have a bunch of books to mark and I’m thinking of bringing them home (it takes me long to mark and I’d rather be comfy while I do it) what are your best tips for getting book marking done quickly and what tools/equipment do you use to transport the books home?
