@shirabatya @josephkinnaird @NATREupdate They might repeat those task in a second colour after exploring the topic more and notice whether they have changed their views on anything. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. So no judgement just a chance to position, reflect and reflex.

@shirabatya @josephkinnaird @NATREupdate I think we want to create space for all children to reflect on their own beliefs but not evaluate them as such. Beliefs naturally evolve over time based on all experiences someone has. Beliefs are not static. Hopefully it will empower them to feel more confident in themselves

Part of the worldviews approach to RE is recognising authentic lived experiences and that we don’t all fit neatly into boxes and helping students feel ok with diversity

@shirabatya @josephkinnaird @NATREupdate I get this. Personal worldviews is where the academic study of worldviews meets personal beliefs and that can sometimes be a bit tricky to navigate. But respectful dialogue is part of what’s needed to celebrate diversity and build tolerance. REChatUK
