Coaching math teaching, learning and learning of teaching, @M3T_WV

A growing statewide network in West Virginia is hoping to address the common complaints from teachers regarding professional development by allowing them to set the agenda. #K12 #Teachers edw.link/ftl

ESSER funding was $190 billion dollar experiment that proves money alone will not produce better academic outcomes. "...the program’s legacy will have been helping to spur an incomplete learning recovery: According to a January analysis released by the leaders of the Education Recovery Scorecard, students across the country had only made up one-quarter of their lost progress in reading, and one-third of their deficits in math, by the beginning of this year."

Looking forward to presenting at @CAMathCouncil CMC-South Conference in Palm Springs. I’ll be giving an Ignite talk on Friday night and running a Saturday afternoon workshop on incorporating paper-based learning strategies like note-taking into Desmos activities. #MTBoS

So excited to be at CMC - California Mathematics Council's South Conference with Joanna Burt-kinderman and Mingo County's Amy Salmons and Brittney Baisden to share the work we've done to build an army of improvement for math teaching and learning in WV! @Ms_JBK @WVEducation

“Supportive administrators who believe in the power of teachers are essential for systems-level improvement .” We appreciate Mineral County Schools WV leadership in general and Kelly Haines in particular as one district leader who supports teacher leaders.

Tonight, 97 math teachers from 29 districts in WV chose to be on a 1.5 hour call sharing trials of researched changes to improve learning. They represent a community of over 150 teachers guiding 7000 students. These are the gifts that we give each other in @m3t_wv

What an amazing visit and observation from @GWCCGirl to @CabellMidland! Thank you @m3t_wv, @cabellschools, and @KCBOE for supporting us to better our teaching practice! #ObserveMe
