I went on a date with a guy who picked a very expensive tapas restaurant. I figured that was fine because he was the one who suggested it. I ordered a salad and one drink. That was it. I was trying to be low maintenance and polite. This man proceeded to order like he was filming a food review. Plate after plate kept showing up. Croquettes, shrimp, potatoes, something wrapped in prosciutto, and several drinks for himself. At one point I stopped paying attention because I assumed he was either very hungry or trying to impress me with his relationship with the menu. When the bill came, he looked at me and said, “We should split it.” I laughed because I genuinely thought he was joking. He was not joking. I told him.......
