📢The latest edition of #ScienceScope features stories on world-class #innovation underpinned by specialised facilities.
Learn how Africa’s first large-scale continuous flow pilot plant can help make pain relief drugs more affordable and how fibreglass composites used in automotive trims, such as boot liners, can be replaced with hemp fibre composites developed and tested at the CSIR. We support local manufacturers in developing their own microencapsulation technologies to protect sensitive components in health and cosmetic products and have commissioned a hot isostatic press facility for the densification of metal powders through elevated heat and pressure, transforming them into solid, high-performance components.
Contact our experts to explore how these and other specialised facilities can strengthen your competitiveness.

@theseerheals Something we don’t talk about hey. We “want to be married” but spiritually is very important. Waiting for part 2
English

Thokozani 📿
PART 1 ⚠️ Sensitive but real
Many marriages are suffering in silence. What I’m about to say is not easy to hear, but it needs to be said.
Sometimes the problem in a marriage is not witchcraft. Sometimes… it’s your husband’s spiritual misalignment.
A lot of makotis are being blamed when their husbands get sick and accused of using umuthi when in reality, they are innocent.
Yes, there are cases where people use muthi, but not everything is witchcraft.
Let’s talk about the truth.
A husband can be spiritually affected because of:
• Cheating and moving between different energies
• His own family rituals or traditional duties not being done
• Being connected to the wrong surname or not knowing his true roots
• Not properly completing traditional marriage processes
- Not being transparent with the wife
- Not cleansing after a family member passes away
• Failing to spiritually close past marriages (not releasing the previous makoti properly)
• Not cleansing after abortions or miscarriages because a child connects both parents spiritually
When a man is not spiritually aligned, it doesn’t only affect him it affects the wife too.
As a makoti, you may start experiencing:
• Blockages in life
• Stagnation
• Difficulty conceiving
• Constant conflict with others
And then… you get blamed.
The truth is, your husband’s spiritual alignment can block your life. His unresolved past, his roots, his decisions can become your burden.
Before a man points fingers at his wife, he must first check himself, his bloodline, and his spiritual standing.
Not every problem is witchcraft.
Sometimes, it’s misalignment.
Choose your partner carefully because a wrong marriage can delay your entire life.
To be continued…

Focused on enabling an integrated, effective transport system
In alignment with the Inaugural National Transport Conference theme, “Transport: the enabler for growth, job creation, inclusivity and sustainability," #TeamCSIR Impact Area Manager, Dr Mathetha Mokonyama, shared insights on the future of transport and logistics, highlighting how data, digital platforms and collaboration can advance the sector. He highlighted the predictive logistics tracking platform developed by CSIR, the Logistics Observatory, which brings together regulators, industry, and innovators to enable increased efficiency. The CSIR is helping South Africa move towards a more efficient, inclusive, and future-ready transport system. He emphasised how customer-centric design is key in driving the industry’s transformation.
We are also making meaningful contributions at various panel sessions focused on enabling an integrated effective transport system across aviation, ports, rail, and road safety-related themes at the #NTCDoTConference hosted by the @Dotransport at the Gallagher Convention Centre from 16 to 18 March 2026.

#TeamCSIR is excited to announce that we are working on a reconfigurable, low-cost and rugged prototype mobility device called Buddy4Life, which will assist children, adults and caregivers affected by cerebral palsy.
The CSIR Buddy4Life is novel in that even a baby can be seated in it, and it can then be adjusted for size as the child grows. Low-cost and rugged, it grows as you grow!

🎥 Watch: Health and cosmetic industries have welcomed Africa’s first microencapsulation testing facility located at the #TeamCSIR campus in Pretoria. Microencapsulation using supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) is a way of protecting sensitive nutrients in products like probiotics, essential oils, supplements and medicines, thereby improving shelf-life, bioavailability and efficacy.
This CSIR facility will, for the first time, help local manufacturers develop their own microencapsulation technologies on home soil, rather than relying on expensive overseas facilities.
