If ADC is not on the ballot there will be no election in Northern Nigeria. If you come out to vote, whatever you see accept it. This is both a threat and a warning.

Nigeria has the largest air force in the region. It foiled a coup a Benin and could equally play an important role in the Sahel by providing its air force assets for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and precision strikes. We don't want a vast, ungoverned sanctuary for terrorist groups like JNIM in West Africa. The regional containment of this group is essential for Nigeria's survival.

The reports from the spokesperson of our great party, which exposes the plans of the government and its agents to revoke the licence of Rainbow Event Centre for the singular offence of hosting the African Democratic Congress convention slated for today, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, is a shameful and cowardly abuse of public office. Let it be said without equivocation: coercing a private business owner to deny a lawfully registered opposition party the use of a venue is not governance. It is not politics. It is the naked conduct of a regime that has lost the argument, lost the people, and now reaches for the boot because it has nothing else left. The ADC has paid every fee. The ADC has signed every contract. The ADC has broken no law. Our only offence is that we are organising, we are growing, and we are preparing to retire this failed government at the ballot box in 2027. This is how democracies are strangled, not in a single dramatic blow, but in a thousand petty, vindictive acts against opposition parties, against free assembly, and against the sacred right of citizens to choose their own leaders. To the international community, and every democratic partner of Nigeria: take note of what is being done here tonight, and in whose name. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. We will not bow to this creeping tyranny, and we will never bow to the petty tyrants behind it. The convention will hold. The ADC will rise. And Nigeria will rise with it. -AA

If supporting Peter Obi and voting for him means getting Nigeria out of this situation, then I'm in for it ten thousand times. It's quite unfortunate that some people are still thinking about tribal differences in this same time we're all suffering together.

BREAKING: TRUMP ATTACKS WSJ & CLAIMS HE WON IN IRAN & OIL WILL FLOW “The Wall Street Journal, one of the worst and most inaccurate “Editorial Boards” in the World, stated that I “declared premature victory in Iran.” Actually, it is a Victory, and there’s nothing “premature” about it! Because of me, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON and, very quickly, you’ll see Oil start flowing, with or without the help of Iran and, to me, it makes no difference, either way. The Wall Street Journal will, as usual, live to eat their words. They are always quick to criticize, but never to admit when they’re wrong, which is most of the time! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU: The Fallen Soldiers in Benisheikh Are Our Unforgettable Heroes—Urges Nigerians and media  to Stand with the Military President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sadness over the loss of the brave soldiers of the 29 Task Force Brigade, Operation HADIN KAI, who died in a coordinated terrorist attack on their camp in Benisheikh, Borno State. The President also expressed heartfelt condolences to the military and the families of the soldiers, urging them to take heart in the face of the unfortunate loss. The Defence Headquarters confirmed the attack and the tragic loss of lives, which occurred early Thursday, April 9, 2026.  President Tinubu praised the courage and heroism of the soldiers who fought valiantly to repel the terrorists and ensure that Boko Haram could not overrun the communities the soldiers protect. While mourning the death of the gallant soldiers, President Tinubu urged the leadership of the Armed Forces and all soldiers on the frontline not to be discouraged, but to draw strength from the nation’s deep appreciation for their sacrifices. “From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many of their fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation. “I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country today in Borno State. The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever. “I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged. Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety. “I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable. "My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace.  Bayo Onanuga  Special Adviser to the President  (Information and Strategy) April 9, 2026

Dangote laments IOCs’ unwillingness to sell crude directly to refinery Dangote Refinery has expressed concern over the unwillingness of international oil companies operating in Nigeria to sell crude to the refinery, stating that their preference for selling crude to traders forces it to repurchase at higher costs, with broader implications for the economy. President/Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, disclosed this while hosting the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, at the company’s industrial complex in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

So, the survival of our democracy is now anchored on the recognition of one faction of one of the 21 registered political parties we have in this country? The same faction, even when recognised, could not win a single Council seat in the just-concluded FCT election? Democracy now means their own logic in the media space MUST be accepted and our judiciary processes ignored? These fellows think they can blackmail everyone to do their bidding AT ALL COST. Unfortunately for them, Nigerians are not so gullible.

🇮🇷 Images from the site of the HC-130J and MH-6 “Little Bird” helicopters south of Isfahan suggest possible shrapnel damage to the aircraft. This could indicate that the U.S. claim that the aircraft “got stuck” may mean they were too damaged to take off or may have crash-landed, as bent rotor blades visible in one image point toward a hard landing. However, this remains speculative.
