The Governors, staff and pupils of Merchant Taylors’ School share deep sorrow at the loss of Queen Elizabeth II. We will mark her passing with the school flag at half-mast and will gather at the start of the school day to honour her memory.

Most importantly they allow for me to read as I wish to read - calmly, patiently, and not as a decompression method, but instead as a pleasure in and of itself.

My summer breaks are often filled with reading. I read through the terms @PriorPark but my reading is fractured. I read every day, but rarely with that complete focus that I yearn for. Holidays, and in particular summer holidays allow for a reset.
