@Pressman2040 So you think, in your small mind, that citizens don’t have the right to protest at DHQ? Do you think the 🌎 is Banana Island? I dare you and your fellow soldiers to repeat #LekkiMassacre tomorrow.

🇳🇬🪖I am a soldier of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I swore to defend the Constitution which includes your right to protest. But that right is NOT absolute. There are places called restricted areas. You cannot march into a military facility, a security zone, or a declared exclusion area and claim your constitutional right protects you. IT DOES NOT 🚫🚫. Exercise your right. Yes. But know your boundaries. Know your duties. Because when you breach the law in the name of protest, the defense of "I WAS EXERCISING MY RIGHT" will not save you. 🚫🚫❓Check the location you plan to march to. Is it RESTRICTED? Is it a SENSITIVE AREA? Do not mistake visibility for invincibility. And listen carefully: the ARMY 🪖 is not the POLICE 🚨. We are not here for tear gas. We are not here for baton charges. We are not here for negotiation at the barricade. If you violate restricted areas, if you attack security personnel, if you destroy public property do not expect a friendly face. WHAT FOLLOWS WILL BE SWIFT, LAWFUL, and FINAL. This is not a threat. It is a warning from someone who believes in the rule of law and knows that your rights end where danger to others and the state begins. PROTEST PEACEFULLY. PROTEST LEGALLY. PROTEST IN APPROVED SPACES. Otherwise? Good luck. You will need it. And me? I will watch from the side as our unserious content creators show up with their cameras, ready to film chaos for clicks. They won't be there when the consequences land. BE GUIDED. PROTEST PEACEFULLY 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🇳🇬⚖️

Here is what Nigerian law actually says Section 217 of the 1999 Constitution establishes the Nigerian Army to defend Nigeria from external aggression and suppress insurrection It does not grant the Army power to arrest, detain, or investigate Nigerian civilians That power belongs to the Nigeria Police Force under Section 214 What happened to Justice Crack was not just wrong It was unconstitutional on its face No statement from Col. Anele changes that fundamental legal reality

CLARIFICATION ON THE ARREST OF JUSTICE MARK CHIDIEBERE (JUSTICE CRACK) The attention of the Nigerian Army was drawn to the complaint made by some soldiers regarding their feeding and other matters relating to their welfare as posted on social media by a blogger/social media influencer, Justice Mark Chidiebere (Justice Crack). While the matter is being investigated for breach of the Armed Forces’ Social Media Policy and an attempt to misinform the public, preliminary report reveals that the soldiers discussed wide range of issues with Justice Chidiebere who seemed to be inciting soldiers to create discontent within the system. An example was a chat bothering on subversion which Chidiebere had with the soldiers. It is important to state that a situation where civilians cultivate vulnerable personnel towards acts of subversion has far-reaching implications on discipline and national security. Hence, Justice Chidiebere was picked by the Nigerian Army alongside the soldiers for investigation. While the soldiers remain in own custody, Chidiebere has been handed over to the relevant civil authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution. The Nigerian Army remains committed to the rule of law and will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure justice is served. We will continue to act within the ambits of the law in safeguarding our sovereignty. APPOLONIA ANELE Colonel Acting Director Army Public Relations 2 May 2026

@Gviev @egi_nupe But that's not what law making is about. Law makers aren't even required to have projects, they are expected to make laws. What law can this guy make now 🤷😂🤌

@egi_nupe I strongly recommend that the Nigeria law school create a crash course, up to two years where non-practitioners can get a crash course similar to the law school settings which then gives them the grace to contest to sit in our chambers. This politicking is too much 🤧

@egi_nupe I actually have a theory on this De' Law. It will never make sense to me how people with no law backgrounds become law makers. No one should be allowed to sit in any of the national assemblies without a background in law or how laws and constitution works just for politics.

Like there is no need to keep repeating it over and over that you are a Niqabi, it is a normal thing. The main thing is intention. The intention should not be to be saying the first Niqabi this, the first Niqabi that so that it won't become a competition, and then you will be shocked that there is a hidden slave of ALLAH that had done more than you and is not advertising it. Please, purify your intention and hide your good deeds.

To begin with! I’m from the north, plateau state to be precise! And whatever I said have nothing to do with Peter obi or his integrity and what he stands for! It is my personal opinion, and my choice as well to support him! It has nothing to do with him, you can point at me and say whatever you want but leave the man of what is my opinion! Having said that! Tunde is a bigot and you know it. We have so many brilliant Hausa kids he could have included! Is there any other tribe except Yoruba in that group? No!

He is 31 years old At nine months old, a failed measles injection by a local nurse caused avascular necrosis, leading to lifelong hip pain and leg weakness until his hip replacement surgery Four of his siblings died in childhood (likely related to sickle cell trait in the family), making his survival a "statistical miracle" At age 10, he dropped out of school due to poverty but returned after his mother worked as a cleaner for six years to pay his fees He learned chess as a kid at a local barber's shop in a Lagos slum while playing video games with friends Barely spoke English when he started secondary school (mostly Yoruba at home) but quickly picked it up from classmates His mother was a petty trader (thrift clothes seller), and his father sold spare parts. They met in a Lagos market Chess helped him develop a strong photographic memory, which he used to cram for exams and survive without parental allowances He became Nigeria's No 13 ranked chess player and earned the National Master title at age 20 He won gold medals representing Yaba College of Technology in the Nigeria Polytechnic Games and the RCCG Chess Championship He also won the National Friends of Chess Tournament and the Chevron Chess Open He got a diploma in computer science and used chess winnings to support himself through school Founded Chess in Slums Africa in September 2018 as a volunteer-driven nonprofit after visiting slums like Majidun The organization has reached thousands of underprivileged kids, including producing a 10-year-old champion with cerebral palsy Tunde Onakoya broke the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon (over 60 hours) in Times Square, New York, in 2024 Featured in CNN African Voices for his work Tunde has a younger brother (two years apart) He credits chess with saving him from slum poverty and giving him an "intellectual identity" He once simultaneously won 10 chess games at the DLD Conference in Germany First African to win the Lideramos Youth Award for Social Impact in Spain. Won the Corporate Chess Championship in Malawi with a perfect 7/7 score Tunde dreams of building the world's biggest chess institute in Nigeria . . . . Tunde Onakoya has brought attention to Africa through Chess. He started teaching chess at a younger age to children. I'm talking of around 2013/2014 when he was meeting at parks around Lagos State, just to teach kids in the open (mostly after work hours) . . Today, I am more interested in telling you more about him, and how he has also risen from a place of deep poverty and struggles. He has done soooo much for people and it's only expected that these past impacts would show on him as well You might have your reservations about him, but you cannot downplay how he used the game of chess to bring great changes to children's lives. . . A lot of children now have access to education, purpose and meaning, thanks to Chess. You are also part of his story. Tunde didn't do all these alone. Your support, your accolades, your retweet, your reposts, everything So look at the bigger picture. Think of the kids whose lives have changed from taking alcohols and drugs on the streets of slums, to having regulated mental health and more purpose driven lives, due to Chess and the opportunity it brought. . . . . Tunde can't certainly please everyone, and yes, there might be actions that many people would attribute to him being human. But if children would smile again, because he created an opportunity for them to have their smiles again.... Then it's one of the best legacies anyone can ever have. And you also can create your own legacy to which nations would applaud, recognise and help preserve 🫂 The sky is big enough for you, I and Tunde to shine and shine bountifully well ❤️ . . . ✍️ Vincent the Therapist
