@StaceySolomon my class and I were joking at school last week that you need to do a Sort Your Life Out teacher's classroom version! There's many a teacher cupboard that needs a good sort out! 😂

@oldelpaso what's happened to my wraps? They were in the packet and when I opened them, they looked like this!

@taylorswift13 I have a very excited Ophelia this morning after hearing your first new album track with her name in it! She's been counting the days since the song titles were released!

@buildabear who is naming your minis? Skelebara... come on, surely Capy'boo'ra is a better pun for spooky themed capybara?

@AdrianLyonsFRSA @Ofstednews I think it's about time ofsted moves to a more supportive coaching model, as we all know that is the most effective way to make change happen and be sustainable.

@unleashing_me I think we need to look at all the reasons teachers are leaving & the govt need to make actual changes very soon. Smaller classes, more specialist provision so children are in the right settings, plus heads/trusts need to cut ridiculous expectations of planning, marking & data!

@KyrstieStubbs Agree, not enough modelling of reading at home, but also, testing that makes reading feel like a chore as you have to answer questions etc take the fun out of it and a jam packed curriculum means we just don't have enough time to read for fun and just enjoy it.

@MuchAdoTeaching @DeputyGrocott Agree. Only caveat I would add is, start languages as early as possible while children’s brains are wired to learn it more easily

The primary curriculum is too big. Simple as that. If we want to develop creative and curious minds, if we want to develop oracy, if we want to develop empathy skills, time is what is needed. We need to be able to lose ‘the fear’ that you’re ’behind’ in what you need to teach.

@MuchAdoTeaching @DeputyGrocott Agree with this. Much more interesting for the children to learn through a topic. Never understand why teaching is top down rather than Early Years up. EY much better model.

@erbrooker If your son is being monitored for a relapse, should the school not have a risk assessment for him in place?

6yr old last night: "Miss Biggs said she had a headache & sore throat today. She had a hot, funny smelling drink." So that's the teacher coming in sick and drinking lemsip. 6yr old is being monitored for cancer relapse. 1/

@ladidaix @PinkYetiCup Parenting has changed. E.g. kids used to have a shopping list, chat, weigh things, work out change etc, now they're strapped in a buggy on a device. The basics of being a parent have stopped. Less communication = less learning before schooling starts.

I feel like lockdown revealed way more about adults’ (un) willingness to educate and teach their children and rely too heavily on educators and school systems to do the heavy lifting of actually raising them more than it revealed anything about the kids
