@LongCovidHell I disagree with attendance rewards. My son had regular appointments with audiology so never made 100% attendance. Nothing to do with resilience. A disability. It’s discrimination.
English

@bjames280961 @QcWynter It’s good to show respect to a position even if the present incumbent is someone who is… remarkable
English

@MartinSLewis There are more choices than tertiary education, don’t discriminate against those who choose otherwise. Also people value things more if they have to pay even if only a contribution to the full cost

Why can’t a single Christian show a Gospel from the time of Jesus?
Because NONE EXIST.
Not one page.
Not one manuscript.
Not one fragment.
Not one letter.
Not even a sentence.
Nothing from the lifetime of Jesus.
Nothing from the lifetime of the disciples.
And every academic scholar, Christian, atheist, Muslim, admits this openly.

@karenfthompson Mine was my Grandmas. Comes out for the Christmas cakes, and the hubby uses it to mix his Christmas puddings. On the subject of recipe books, my mum replaced my BeRo book (grandmas, measures in old money) with a new one when we got married 31yrs+ still going strong Can’t beat it

@Eskimosby @philwoodward20 @piersmorgan Horse riding. And it’s had men and women competing together forever.
English

@philwoodward20 @piersmorgan Good thing is we can be assured that would never happen. Unless it’s the most random sport of all time that balances out all physical abilities. Billiards? Bowling? But then who really cares.

@DavePiperDJ @mrdanwalker That’s probably where their opponents went wrong

@standhawk @mrdanwalker Don't be silly - Whales can't play football!

@Bald_Old_Duffer @Number10cat And want Harriet gone very soon after?
English

@Bald_Old_Duffer @Number10cat I was worried it was just me that caught that!

@JamesMelville There’s a place for rewilding. Pavements are not it.

@Jo3713939David @suespeaksup Not so! We have milk. And tea/coffee and treats from the lovely Ringtons man who is called Craig and loves a short natter
English

@suespeaksup Another Great British institution that's bitten the dust I'm afraid Sue, along with the pop lorries, the paddy wagons, publication deliveries and the scrap merchants.
A bygone era, superseded by expensive, modern-day living arrangements that they've the cheek to call progress!

Remember when the milkman used to be part of the morning routine?
Glass bottles clinking, the quiet rattle of the float, and that little feeling of magic seeing fresh milk waiting on the doorstep before anyone else was even awake.
It’s one of those simple, comforting bits of everyday life that just… disappeared.
Makes me wonder does anyone still have a milkman in 2025? Or is it now just another childhood memory we all share?

English

@suespeaksup Everyone round here gets their milk delivered by the milkman. He also offers eggs, fruit juice and other dairy products. Isn’t this normal?
