I built a complete Android scanner app template — 110 Kotlin files, 21K LOC. CameraX + ML Kit OCR + PDF engine + eSign + RevenueCat paywall with A/B variants. Clean Architecture. $149 launch price (normally $249) kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

I just dropped my Android scanner template from $149 to $29. 21,000 lines of Kotlin. CameraX, OCR, searchable PDFs, eSign, RevenueCat paywall. Production-ready. $29. Less than a pizza dinner. First 10 buyers only, then price goes back up. kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

@deepakpshukla1 Exactly! Devs underestimate how much time goes into the "boring" parts — edge detection tuning, PDF rendering, encryption. That's where templates shine. Build the unique stuff, buy the infrastructure. Thanks for the kind words!

The math on buying vs building an Android scanner app: Build from scratch: - 400+ hours - At $100/hr = $40,000 Buy my template: - $74.50 (code LAUNCH50) - Customize in days Same result. 99.8% cheaper. kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

@premkumar127001 That UI looks really clean! Jetpack Compose + Firebase is a solid stack. The architecture docs will definitely help — I added clean arch to my scanner template and it made a huge difference for devs who fork it. Keep building!

@MuddyHandz Thanks for the tip 🙌 really appreciate it! It’s an expense tracker app with real-time multi-device sync, built using Jetpack Compose and Firebase (auth + database). I’ll definitely add architecture docs and a proper setup guide to make it more valuable.

Unpopular opinion: most Android devs waste months building features that already exist as libraries. I open-sourced my CameraX frame stability detection + OCR text positioning approach. Full writeup + code: dev.to/a_bitabovebyte…

@AiReceiptApp 100%. The OCR accuracy on receipts has gotten insanely good with ML Kit. I built a document scanner that processes everything on-device — no cloud upload needed. Privacy-first scanning is becoming a real differentiator.

The biggest mistake freelancers make? Waiting until March to organize a year's worth of receipts. It takes 2 seconds to snap a photo when you spend. It takes hours to find it later. Work smarter, not harder.

Android freelancers: stop building document scanners from scratch. I spent 3 months building one. Clone mine for $75. CameraX auto-capture, ML Kit OCR, searchable PDFs, AES-256, RevenueCat, 110 Kotlin files. 50% off: LAUNCH50 kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

@Cyb3rSpider01 Love the clean UI. If you ever need document scanning or OCR features in your app, I open-sourced some of the techniques I used at dev.to/a_bitabovebyte… — CameraX frame stability, ML Kit text recognition, etc. Good luck with the Android port!

@vigneshtcs79 Nice MVP! Fellow Android builder here. Just shipped a document scanner with CameraX + ML Kit after months of work. The hardest part of building in public isn't the code — it's getting the first users. Keep pushing!

Honest question for Android devs: Would you pay $75 for a complete, production-ready document scanner app template? 110 Kotlin files. CameraX, OCR, PDF, encryption, paywall — all done. Trying to figure out if the market exists or if I built something nobody wants.

Freelance Android devs: Next time a client asks for a document scanner app, don't quote them 400 hours. Buy my template for $74.50 (code LAUNCH50), swap the package name, customize the UI, deliver in a week. Bill them $15K. Only 5 discount codes left. kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

@CodesKr1 Building Android apps in public too. The camera integration is definitely the hardest part — spent weeks getting CameraX stable for a document scanner. What stack are you using for Gear Vault?

@l510450 @gumroad Same experience here — selling an Android app template on Gumroad. The platform is great for creators but devs buying code templates seem like a smaller audience. Most traffic comes from Twitter/Dev.to, not Gumroad discovery. What's worked for you so far?

3 months to build a document scanner from scratch. Or clone mine and ship this week. CameraX auto-capture, ML Kit OCR, searchable PDFs, AES-256 encryption, RevenueCat monetization — all wired up. $149. Full Kotlin source. No recurring fees. kahlon71.gumroad.com/l/scanvault-pro

@Baconbrix This is wild. Curious how it handles native APIs like CameraX or ML Kit — the parts where you really need platform-specific code. Built a document scanner in pure Kotlin/Compose and the camera + OCR integration was the hardest 30% by far.
