@Wowhead it sounds like theres some serious QoL that really should have happened before trying to kill addons. do they really make it hard to tell whether something needs interruption w/o addons? that seems super basic. Then again, they also still don't have fucking map coords vanilla...

@Havoc90c @Wowhead i will say wow players still needing an addon to see map coordinates and other basic ass things does show that blizzard is kind of depending on players using addons though... but wow is popular bc of the game itself lol

@Havoc90c @Wowhead while i mostly play ffxiv (with plugins, but nothing i cant play without) i do play wow sometimes with minimal combat addons and its fine. many ffxiv players do fine without addons (esp considering its impossible to have them on console), games can be popular without addons

@AlaricTsoni @mickysux_xiv I have HEARD that FFXIV is a common target for people who do DDOS for money to prove their capabilities because it's very obvious when it works and Squeenix has put effort into protections so it proves they can get past those protections. Makes more sense to me than anything else

@mickysux_xiv I've never seen a game struggle so much with ddos the way xiv does, it's getting ridiculous
