This heinous and barbaric act is an assault on our shared humanity and a grave violation of the sanctity of life, which the trio of our faith, culture, and laws tenaciously hold sacred. I condemn, unequivocally, this nefarious crime in the strongest possible terms. No grievance, real or imagined, justifies the taking of innocent lives, least of all the lives of innocent children. I commend the Kano State Police Command for its swift, professional, and decisive response that led to the arrest of the suspects through a well-coordinated sting operation in the early hours of today. The prompt action of the officers involved reflects the unquestionable capacity and commitment of our security agencies to protect lives and uphold the rule of law. My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family, relatives, and the entire people of Kano State over this disturbingly irreparable loss. I pray that Allah grants the departed eternal rest and gives the family of the deceased the strength and fortitude to bear this painful, yet unimaginable, tragedy. I call on the relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and the diligent prosecution of all those responsible for this atrocity, so that justice is served fully and transparently. Accountability is essential not only for the victims but also to deter future crimes and restore public confidence.
