The President allowed this Operation to arrest anybody in Uganda except the President and First Lady. Everybody else in this country can be arrested.

You allow thieves to never build drainage systems in Kampala for 40 years, then you allow them to build in God's natural drainage system...the wetlands! Why wouldn't Kampala flood? From now on stealing from Kampala will be equivalent to stealing from Jesus Christ! They will pay.

'0peration Maliza Ufisadi' has just began, already we have retrieved quite a lot of the people's money and property. Everything will be returned to the Treasury. I will give a partial report soon. I advise all government officials to co-operate fully with the security services...in order to avoid arrest.

Floods in Kampala have been caused by 40 years of corruption in the city. We had idiots like Lukwago for 25 years! That is changing now. UPDF is taking charge.

This flag pole is only half way complete. Our engineers were waiting for our crane to arrive from abroad to finish it. It's going to be the tallest in Eastern Africa! Rather than salaries and exorbitant allowances money should be spent in making our Fatherland Uganda great!

Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, greetings.   After consultations with the national epidemic response task force and religious leaders, we have decided to postpone the Martyrs' Day to a later date, which will be communicated.   This decision was made because Uganda receives thousands of pilgrims annually from Eastern Congo, which is currently experiencing an Ebola outbreak. To safeguard everyone's lives, it is essential that this important event be postponed.   I encourage those who had begun their journey to return home, continue observing the precautionary measures, report anyone who is sick, and encourage those who are ill to seek medical care.   We regret any inconvenience caused, but the protection of life must come first.   Signed: Yoweri K. Museveni PRESIDENT

Today at Nakasero, I met Mr. Aliko Dangote and we discussed the proposed East African regional refinery. I informed him that from the very beginning, we have always opposed the export of raw materials without value addition. That is why Uganda delayed oil production because we insisted on first having a refinery. Without refining our oil, it would not make economic or strategic sense to simply export crude oil while others benefit from the finished products. I, therefore, welcomed the idea of a bigger regional refinery because our objective is African integration and shared prosperity. We cannot continue operating as fragmented and weak markets. If East Africa works together, such projects become more viable and beneficial to our people. Uganda is ready to support the regional refinery initiative while also continuing with the development of our own refinery in Hoima.

Before General @mkainerugaba’s commandos descend to Parliament, Hon Clerk of Parliament, internal auditors, Human Resources Director, external auditors, and all concerned directors and leaders in Parliament should have stepped aside and reported to Kibuli to pave way for a full, transparent, and credible investigation. Leadership demands accountability and cooperation with lawful authorities at all times. Those implicated or under scrutiny should avoid hiding or frustrating investigations because time is running out. It is better to cooperate with investigators and allow institutions to function transparently than to face forceful arrests and public embarrassment later. Ugandans expect integrity, responsibility, and accountability from public officials entrusted with national institutions and resources. @CID1_UG
