It is a true cosmopolitan city, a melting pot of diverse cultures, academic brilliance, entrepreneurial spirit and acceptance of diverse lifestyles. Communication is a breeze across languages and a vibrant life awaits. Here, modernity meets tradition, technology meets money. I have been here on and off since the late 80s, when the streets were nearly empty in the evenings, and now they are bustling with activity throughout the day and night. Bangalore has spread its wings, swallowing surrounding barren lands and lifting concrete to the skies. The sight of the blooming cherry trees in this season is simply breathtaking. #SomanathSpeak

Hindu renaissance is not going to be achieved by reading colonial, modern, and/or euro-centric values and categories into ancient Hindu texts and attempting to somehow fit Hindu texts and traditions into modern moulds. Rather, the first step is to develop sheer honesty and conviction to examine our own texts on its own basis to listen to what actually they want to communicate to us. Only then, we would be able to allow our texts to reshape our thoughts and worldview in accordance to Dharmic principles embedded in them, which in-turn would help us develop Dharma-Drishti which then can be confidently be applied to examine, interrogate, understand, and critique contemporary world, its functioning, and its true status vis-a-vis Dharmic ideals. And this, this alone can lead to Hindu renaissance and revival in a true sense.
