4/5 The RHM Minor Injury Unit also provides full imaging and x-ray facilities for patients to be fully diagnosed and treated onsite.

3/5 In addition, the average waiting time for patients who attend the MIU is under 2hours which is significantly less than those who may have to wait in busy EDs while more acutely ill patients are triaged as a priority.

2/5 Patients who attend this service will be charged a fee of €75, which is less than the €100 fee charged if they were to attend an ED. There is no charge for patients who have Medical Cards or who have a referral letter from either their GP or from the ED.

1/5 Today marks the opening of Regional Hospital Mullingar's Minor Injury unit at Charter Medical Hospital, Ballinderry. @HSELive @MullingarFIT The unit will see 16 year olds&older, 7 days a week: -Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm -Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 6pm -Closed on Bank Holidays
