Compassion and humor are very important to me. I love animals and being outside. Do cat rescue work.

None of the footage shows a gun in Cole Allen's hands. So how could an officer get hit by gunfire?

FROM FB: URGENT💔💔💔Surrendering a pet is never an easy choice. But for Kane's owner, answering the call to military deployment meant making the heartbreaking choice to ensure Kane would be safe and cared for while they serve. They tried everything, but no one could take him. So on the last day before deployment, Kane was carried into the shelter because he was too scared to walk. His owner even had to help with intake to make it easier on Kane. Fast forward over two weeks and Kane is barely eating because his anxiety is so severe. I've taken him out three times and he warming up, but he still looks like he doesn't understand this place. Let's help out someone trying to do the right thing serving our country by getting Kane in a long term foster or adoptive home. He's a gentle 2 year old boy that has done well with dogs and is scared of cats. ***Edit to add-I am a volunteer and do not have details on the deployment, please reach out to the shelter with questions*** fcasdogs.com/Kane2 — at Fulton County Animal Services. 🆘🆘 JOE (ID 250664), 2 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - impound on 3/27/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/28/26 ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 31 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ JOE IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Perhaps feeling a little out of his depth here at the Care Center, Joe's taken to his den to sort things out. I don't want to assume, but I imagine there's an insurmountable kind of tinge to them only exacerbated by Joe's dedication to doing it all on his own. Joe came to us from a home with other cats and may prefer to do things this way as he also may not have a lot of experience meeting new people. We keep trying to explain that though we are new people, we also have treats, toys, blankets, and beds to offer. For his part, Joe seems almost entirely uninterested except not quite as he's adorably a little curious about treats. When it comes to making new friends or finding a forever family, we understand that Joe might have to try it his way first, we're just hoping that his forever family will love and appreciate his efforts as they welcome him into their home. Joe tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter and may be intimidated by small children. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 JUAN CARLOS (ID 251493), 10 MONTH OLD, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/7/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- cannot afford to care for. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/28/26 ➡️ ONLY A KITTEN – JUST BEGINNING LIFE ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 20 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ JUAN CARLOS IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I am looking for a home with a patient person. Juan Carlos tolerates some attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter and displays some avoidant behaviors. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home with an appropriate decompression period, and positive reinforcement for social behaviors with high value treats. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 LUCY (ID 251541), 3 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/8/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - aggressive towards people. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/28/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 9 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ LUCY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I am looking for a home with a patient person. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Due to the detailed behavior issues, this animal is only available for foster/adoption through one of ACC's New Hope Partners. Tinker is easily overstimulated by both noises and other cats and will redirect onto handlers, making her difficult to safely interact with. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I lived with children in my previous home. The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats or dogs. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together! I would do best in a home with only adult humans. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 GATITO (ID 2512340), 5 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 4/17/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 4/28/26 ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 10 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ GATITO IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - She is an adult cat with persistent bloody urine due to a mass in her bladder. She has warmed up to staff while in shelter but her urinary symptom has not resolved. She needs surgery to biopsy the mass and make an effective treatment plan. This evaluation/diagnosis means that GATITO will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: Gatito has made significant improvements since her arrival on the 17th and came forward out of the den, curious and sweet. She approached the assessor, arched her back, gently enjoyed petting, leaning in gently for cheek rubs and eating squeeze-up treats. She tolerated being picked up and then was set back down. She got slightly upset and gave a single hiss, but otherwise appeared reasonably calm and very sweet. Towards the end, she did seem to become somewhat aroused and did some additional hissing and a little posturing as if to swat, but then leaned in for more cheek rubbing so she appears to be sweet but a bit conflicted. Gatito interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is often easy to handle and tolerates all petting❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you
