🆘🆘 TOMMY (ID 247483), 4 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 3/8/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving - no pets allowed. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/31/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 22 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ TOMMY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Tommy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat, bite, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment, and does not currently tolerate petting or handling.
