No permit? That’s a $115 FINE just for being in the river.
This isn’t about public safety. It’s about enforcing compliance.

The War on Poverty didn’t conquer poverty, it entrenched it, fostering a permanent underclass through dependency and family breakdown.
The Inflation Reduction Act did no such thing, it fueled more spending and inflationary pressure.
The Patriot Act was anything but patriotic, erecting a vast, permanent surveillance state that eroded civil liberties in the name of security.
Time and again, these grandly named “Acts” deliver the precise opposite of their promises.
Government interventions routinely ignore second-order consequences, distorted incentives, unintended behaviors, and cascading failures, leaving us with more problems than we started with.
Perhaps it’s time for Washington to step back from micromanaging the economy and people’s lives, before the unintended damage grows even worse.

Oregon Historical Society faced a shortfall in 2010-2011, so they asked Multnomah County voters at that time for a "temporary" levy to hold them over until they could source other funding. 🧵

Oregonians feel the pressure of higher prices, and the federal government should be focused on lowering costs, not raising them. The more products that are slapped with tariffs, the more prices go up, and the less Oregonians can afford. statesmanjournal.com/story/news/pol…

Fauci’s pardon should be tested in the Supreme Court.
No way the founders intended for a corrupt administration to get full pardon when walking out the door before charges can be brought.
Should be a no brainer unless Trump is intending to do it when he leaves as well.

🇺🇸 Here's what $39 trillion in debt really means: If we confiscated every dollar of U.S. corporate profit ($3.8T/year), it would take over 10 years to pay off. Sell every ounce of gold ever mined: $32 trillion. Still $7 trillion short. Liquidate every Bitcoin in existence on top of that: $33.5 trillion. Still $5.5 trillion short. If we confiscated every dollar of federal tax revenue ($5.3T/year), it would take over 7 years to pay off, assuming zero spending. The debt is 71% of every home in America, or 30% of every publicly traded company on Earth. The debt grows by $7.2 billion a day, or $84,000 a second. This is a problem.
