Look, Elon Musk has repeatedly said none of his companies will ever launch their own token.
At the same time, he’s dead set on turning X into a true super app.
You can’t build a proper super app in 2026 without real crypto rails, it’s just not possible.
Now here’s what actually exists today:
@xMoney_com, built on @MultiversX, already has a fully regulated merchant payments infrastructure, MiCA compliance, Mastercard integration, stablecoin plans, and its own token $XMN.
They even hold the US trademark for ‘X’ in payments and wallets.
Elon literally fought to get X.com back from PayPal years ago.
He’s not someone who leaves branding conflicts like this unresolved.
The two fit together perfectly.
One brings the brand, user base, and fiat licenses;
The other brings the blockchain, the token, and the actual crypto payments tech.
Anyone who thinks this is pure coincidence needs to explain why Elon would be dumb enough to ignore a ready-made solution that checks every box.
I don’t believe he’s that guy.
The smart move here is obvious.
