Rather or not a rank is "good" is all relative. There are people who think masters is bad and there are people who are proud of hitting gold. Nobody is wrong (except those who hit their peak playing roadhog)

Unfortunate that a lot of people, including myself at times, have been conditioned to think anything less than champ is mid at best bc of blah blah blah who cares. Be proud of your accomplishments or explode into a billion pieces
