This Ford F-150 Lightning has an MSRP of $41,669, yet the dealership added a $35,000 “market adjustment,” bringing the price to $76,659 before taxes and fees. Then they wonder why new trucks are sitting on dealership lots. I don’t know who’s paying an extra $35,000 just because the dealer says so. Calling it a “market adjustment” doesn’t magically make it reasonable.

PlayStation 5 emulation on PC has reached another milestone. The developers behind SharpEmu announced that the emulator can now boot Demon’s Souls Remake far enough to display the opening cutscene and reach the main menu. According to the team, the game’s logic and UI are already functioning, although major visual artifacts and texture streaming issues remain. The developers say their current priority is improving compatibility and getting games fully playable from start to finish before focusing on performance or higher frame rates.

Palworld is having a huge comeback. Less than two weeks after the full 1.0 release, the game reached almost 1 million players online at the same time on Steam. During its launch, it even passed Counter-Strike 2 for a short time to become Steam’s most-played game. Pocketpair’s communications and publishing lead, John “Bucky” Buckley, said the success has been “life-changing” for the studio. He thanked players for their support and said the team is very grateful for how well the game has been received.

According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, AI was used to analyze accounts posting in support of PlayStation’s digital-only future. Nintendo has reportedly suffered a setback after Japan’s Patent Office rejected one of its Pokémon-related patent applications. The patent covered touchscreen gameplay features like moving your character, throwing an item to catch creatures, sending them into battle, and choosing commands during fights. According to the patent office, those ideas weren’t new enough. The examiner pointed to several earlier examples, including a Pokémon fan game shown on YouTube in 2013, saying similar mechanics were already public before Nintendo filed the patent.

JUST IN: DOJ Blows Open Chinese Money Launder Scheme The Department of Justice has exposed a Chinese money laundering scheme in New York that was carried out by more than a dozen co-conspirators. Federal prosecutors have charged two New York residents over operating a Chinese money laundering network that moved more than $43 million stolen from victims of online investment scams. According to an unsealed indictment, Zhuoying Chen, 27, of Brooklyn, and Haojie Zhang, 38, of Queens, managed a network of more than a dozen individuals who opened 140 bank accounts through roughly 45 shell companies. Chen and Zhang made their initial appearances in federal court on Thursday. They were charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
