After over 2 years of daily deeply embedded family interaction with the Aged Care system in Australia I have finally started writing to book!!! ITS TIME we talk openly of the systematic failure of the structure of Aged Care in this country. It is FAIL!

Do you share @ABIMFoundation president @RichardBaron17 ‘s perspective that physicians should not take up interests like photography because this may cause them to no longer be competent in medicine ? His suggestion that physicians should not pursue outside interests is the tone deaf bookend to the tweet suggesting we do #MOC while on vacation. Interests outside of medicine are critical to a physician’s well being; these interest compliment medical practice rather than compete with them as Dr. Barron would lead you to believe. The @ABIMFoundation narrative just keeps going from bad (do MOC on vacation) to worse (do not pursue outside interests).

Please vote YES for The Indigenous Voice to Parliament! It will enable indigenous people to say how every piece of legislation might affect them in a different way to other Australians. It will enable research and testing behind legislative changes before they're set.

@beauzam14 People with mental impairments in any institution are well known for brandishing weapons and staff should know to keep an eye out for them. It's a feature of being doubtful about your own safety and integrity- you get paranoid and arm yourself! NO POLICE!

Just a thought : I reckon l could safely take a knife from a 95yo lady in an aged care facility, especially if l had help.😠
