Walking into the arcade and seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet for the first time was mind-blowing. It felt like the cartoon had come to life right in front of you. The attract mode, the music, the huge colourful sprites, the four-player action, it had a presence that demanded your attention. On my first play, I picked Donatello. I figured the extra range from his bo staff would give me the best chance of surviving. In the end, though, Raphael became my favourite. His special attack was just too cool, and once I got the hang of it, I found myself picking him every time.

America, I regret to inform you the theater kids are at it again. These Hollyweird stars recorded a RAP VIDEO to promote The Odyssey. Unbelievable levels of cringe here. Please just make it stop.

Ghosts 'n Goblins (1985) doesn’t mess around. You have to beat the entire game twice to get the real ending. Finish it once, the princess gets kidnapped again, and you start over on a harder run.
