This is a play to get white people to feel “comfortable” with Detroit again. They couldn’t use a white person in this role because that gives colonization automatically, so they use a model minority as a bridge to further gentrification. It’s so interesting to watch.

@caleb_lowden Realmuto & Patrick Bailey both led the league in games played last year when catching— 132 games. So, ~81 percent.
So, yeah, dingler nor any catcher will be plying 9 out of 10 games at the very least, unless they are DH’ing a significant chunk of them.

And that Dingler should be playing 9 out of every 10 games. There isn’t a primary catcher in baseball who does that without DH’ing a handful of those games.
