I’d like to not see the president claim 20 some odd times including on Day One that we won but now we’re requesting $200 billion supplemental in addition to the now almost $25 billion we’ve spent. I’d like them to be honest that it’s a war not a special military op or an “excursion” because Trump doesn’t know the word is incursion. I’d like them to not say a couple of days then five, eight or three weeks then say maybe September. I’d like them to know exactly how many Americans were killed or injured and not a “ballpark” figure. I’d like them to not lie about what “imminent threat” means when the intelligence community states under oath that there was no evidence that it was imminent. I think some consistency and clarity on what is going on isn’t much to ask for from Americans who’s family members serve and for the rest of us bearing the costs of this “little excursion” that has nothing more than vibes and fluff being given at every press conference. If you’re an American, then you should damn well demand the same.
