The frightening scenes came from your orders, you caused the horrific scenes of the garda getting heavy handed with the protesters. You had no problem restricting people during convid. You're day's are numbered. You need to resign before your forced out.

🚨🇮🇪 More disturbing footage of garda aggression towards protestors in Cork is beginning to emerge. These people aren't fit to wear the garda uniform, they are nothing but thugs.

What Jim O'Callaghan ordered the garda and army to do today at the Whitegate protest was a treasonous act. Jim needs to resign with immediate effect.

IBLA statement 11th April, 2026 The Irish Beef & Lamb Association - IBLA calls on independent TDs supporting the government to withdraw support so a general election can be called. There is no confidence in the government over its very poor handling of the current fuel protest and other recent events that affect the farming community. IBLA feels that the lack of understanding, coupled with the lack of communication by the government with the protest organisers is not democratic and warrants an immediate action. The lack of vision to not include all farm representative organisations - not simply the 'old boys club' few has greatly contributed to this current crisis. Have they learned nothing from 2019 about the old establishment not representing all farmers fairly. Excluding others representing other voices in the farming community is counter productive and indicates poor judgement by the Taoiseach Micheal Martin and the Tanaiste Simon Harris, thus leading to a complete debacle and outright lockdown not seen since the pandemic. The language used and the threats of introducing the army to deal with protesters is akin to panicked actions taken in a dictatorship. IBLA feels that Micheal Martin’s position as a leader of the Irish government is absolutely untenable. IBLA, as a recognised farm representative organisation supports the fuel protest and will continue to support the fuel protest until the Irish people receive fair treatment by the Irish government Kieran Delaney Chairman IBLA

🚨🇮🇪 Terrible scenes at the Whitegate oil refinery right now. Farmers and truckers have been penned in like cattle while the Irish army has arrived on scene to remove their vehicles. This is a sad day for Ireland.

Time to stop these illegal activities. The entire population is feeling real impacts from increased fuel prices. But we don’t go out preventing our fellow citizens from going to work, or getting to hospitals or airports. Enough is enough.
