BREAKING Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei:
– "The UN Security Council must immediately hold a meeting and take action to stop the aggression against Iran."
– "The Iranian Armed Forces will defend the country decisively and with full strength.
– "This is a patriotic battle which was imposed on us."
– "If the aggression against Iran is not met with a reaction from the international community, it will be the beginning of the end for all international institutions."

Dear @NigeriaGov
Protecting the lives and property of citizens is not a favor, it is your constitutional responsibility. Innocent people are being killed every day by terrorist groups across Nigeria.
Do your duty. End this violence and protect the people.

Kwankwaso’s ONLY crime against the Republicans is his patriotic condemnation of Trump’s threats to attack his country. If you are looking for the opposite of a religious extremist, Kwankwaso is one.
Kwankwaso lost election in 2003 because of his reluctance to implement Sharia in Kano. His implementation was seen as hapharzard by the fanatics, who promoted Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau’s candidacy.
When Shekarau defeated Kwankwaso, he re-implemented Sharia in Kano, recruited thousands of Hisbah personnel and re-kitted them towards full implementation of Shariah.
If implementation of Sharia in Nigeria were a crime, a former governor of Zamfara, Ahmed Sani Yarima, should not only appear in the list, but top the list.

El-Rufai is fighting Tinubu’s Government because the Senate disqualified his Ministerial Nomination.
Lauretta is fighting Tinubu’s Government because the Senate declined her nomination as INEC Rec.
Safe to say none of them could have been fighting Tinubu today if their nominations were accepted by the Senate 🤷

The President broke the normal protocol by sitting together with his guest in the visitor’s chair. I believe the President broke the tradition in such a symbolic way to show that Gov. @UbaSaniUS is truly his personal person.

Today, I met with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq @RealAARahman, to be debriefed on the incident in Kaiama LGA.
I condemn in the strongest terms this cowardly and beastly attack. The gunmen are heartless for choosing soft targets in their doomed campaign of terror. Their actions offend our humanity, our faith, and our shared values as a nation.
Yesterday, I directed the immediate deployment of an army battalion to Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State following the horrific attack on innocent villagers in Worro. This new military command will spearhead Operation Savannah Shield to checkmate these barbaric terrorists and protect defenceless communities.
It is particularly disturbing that the victims were killed because they rejected an attempt at forced indoctrination. As I said, “It is commendable that the community members, even though Muslims, refused to be conscripted into a weird belief that promoted violence over peace and dialogue.” Nigeria will never surrender its people to extremism and terrorism masquerading as faith.
I have further directed close collaboration between federal and state agencies to provide immediate support and relief to the affected community and to ensure that those responsible for this atrocity are pursued and brought to justice, just like other terrorists before them. They will not go scot-free.
I pray for the repose of the souls of the departed and extend my deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. I also sympathise with the people and government of Kwara State. The Federal Government stands with you. We will protect our communities, defend our values, and defeat those who seek to divide us through terror.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
Federal Republic of Nigeria

Our brave Armed Forces are prepared—with their fingers on the trigger—to immediately and powerfully respond to ANY aggression against our beloved land, air, and sea.
The valuable lessons learned from the 12-Day War have enabled us to respond even more strongly, rapidly, and profoundly.
At the same time, Iran has always welcomed a mutually beneficial, fair and equitable NUCLEAR DEAL—on equal footing, and free from coercion, threats, and intimidation—which ensures Iran's rights to PEACEFUL nuclear technology, and guarantees NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
Such weapons have no place in our security calculations and we have NEVER sought to acquire them.

If Trump does anything to provoke Iran into striking Israel and blocking the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices would surge overnight and shake up the bond markets, a scenario Trump can’t risk in a mid-term election year. Trump is not prepared for even one body bag. And Iran knows it.
If the US attacks, Iran says it will respond with “all-out war,” deploy hypersonic missiles Day One. Largely depleted during the 12-day war in June, Israel's air defense interceptor missiles have not been adequately restored.
More than twice the size of Texas, Iran is not susceptible to a “smash and grab” Venezuela-style kidnapping. (Cover of US and Israel intel agents inside Iran has been exposed.) Along with hypersonic missiles, dispersed in underground silos across the country, Iran has 30 mini-submarines and 300 speed boats equipped with anti-ship missiles and torpedoes.
To Iran, the current threat is a continuation of the 12-day war. This time, however, there will be no temporary ceasefire, no “back channel” negotiations with the US. Iran’s response will be existential - full scale – and will be joined by a supporting regional "Shia Jihad."

During the State Visit today in Ankara, Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and I reaffirmed our shared ambition, which speaks directly to jobs, investment, and opportunity for our people, creating a clear pathway to a five-billion-dollar trade volume between Nigeria and Türkiye.
Our conversations were practical and forward-looking: trade and investment, energy, education, defence cooperation, peace and security, and the creation of a Joint Economy and Trade Committee to unlock new flows of capital and deepen Turkish investment in Nigeria.
I welcome President Erdoğan’s recognition of Nigeria’s reform momentum, particularly in the energy sector, and his confidence in our determination to build an economy that works for everyone, including the most vulnerable.
We also spoke frankly about security. Nigeria will continue to play its role in peace and stability in Africa. Türkiye’s experience and readiness to cooperate in military training, intelligence sharing, and counter-terrorism efforts strengthen our collective resolve against agents of destabilisation in the Sahel and beyond.
At the conclusion of our meetings, nine agreements were exchanged across defence, education, media, diaspora policy, trade, social development, and institutional cooperation between our foreign ministries.
Nigeria remains open for serious partnership. Open to trade without barriers.
Open to ideas, skills, and investment that create value and shared prosperity.
We are building an inclusive economy. We are strengthening peace. Nigeria will continue to engage the world with confidence and clarity.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
