For Edmond, he was simply boarding a public transport. But for me, as a journalist, I see this as newsworthy. Edmond has long been an advocate for accessible and affordable transportation for all, and using this mode of transport places him in a better position to truly understand the challenges commuters face. I would like to see more government functionaries and advocates interacting with the masses at this level, so they can genuinely understand what is happening on the ground. In a Press lease dated December 16, 2025 the US government has outrightly banned Sierra Leone which was already on the previous 19 "high risk" countries list.
