The chairperson of the board of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN), Prof. Tulimevava Kaunapawa Mufeti, just announced the reasons for CRAN's rejection of Starlink's application for a spectrum and operating licenses.
“The applicant met only three of the six criteria,” Mufeti said, noting that failure to meet even one requirement is sufficient grounds for rejection.
Prof. Mufeti, together with the Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Emma Theofelus, explained that the lack of Namibian ownership in the American company contributed to this decision.
She said Starlink also failed to meet national security criteria and ignored Namibian law by offering a telecommunications service without a license.

At this moment, there are no signs of a fuel price increase, given that there are some reserves and the shipments expected to arrive in the country will do so as planned. We have no contrary information,” said the spokesperson of the Council of Ministers, Salim Valá, at the end of a Cabinet meeting in Maputo. The official added that there is no evidence pointing to a potential fuel price increase due to the Middle East conflict, reiterating that with products available at ocean terminals, Mozambique has sufficient reserves to supply the market, with new shipments expected to arrive between 26 and 30 March.

Palantir & Starlink collaboration on Pentagon/CIA contracts can overthrow any government; they are major Pentagon contractors with growing roles in AI, data, and satellite communications for military operations.
