Devastated. Sammy's work changed lives (mine included), and may well have saved some. Her resources are phenomenally important for #pwME. She was incredible. A huge loss for the #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis community, and even more for those who knew and loved her personally.

@gemcch @Dis_PPL_Protest @LabourHub Earnings paid for by the public, though. Wasn't that the point, 'taxpayers' wanting to see what 'their' money is spent on? (*even tho we literally all pay taxes on anything we buy that's subject to VAT at the very least, if not fuel, public transport, utilities, etc. as well.)

#PIP The vile & toxic DWP are sending out a horrific survey asking disabled people how they spend their PIP money 1. DWP have no legal right to ask & you have no legal obligation to fill it in 2. if you send a letter of opposition tell them what you think of their vile cuts

@gemcch @Dis_PPL_Protest @LabourHub Let's start with asking how the MPs who are supposed to be working for us spend their income, yeah? Disabled people's income goes straight back into the economy, barely any of us can afford to save (hoard) vast amounts of it.

@Dis_PPL_Protest @LabourHub I think when people are being given extra money from the public purse to pay for the additional costs of having a disability, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask how that money is spent.

@Dis_PPL_Protest this also could be an opportunity - advise anyone to say they spend on food and utilities, since dwp looks for reasons to smear the disabled community by accusing them to consume luxury.

@GIGGLIESTGAMBLE @AlexHorne Very very much sympathise! (From years struggling on foot before using a wheelchair.) I don't know your situation at all so feel free to disregard, but if something like a rollator or cane seat would be of use it could be worth considering for things like this ♡

@GIGGLIESTGAMBLE @AlexHorne → limited mobility, but it was filled up by wheelchair users (and I think there was one other who didn't fit in, there were four of us in the covered area) so for a big crowd that area realistically is probably only going to be for wheelchair users.
