Today Amb Maj Gen Joseph Nzabamwita (@joenzabamwita) presented Letters of Credence to H.E Aleksandar Vučić, President of Republic of Serbia, accrediting him to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Rwanda. The Ceremony was held at Serbia Palace in Belgrade. This evening at Le Palais du Peuple in Brazzaville, President Kagame met with President-Elect @SassouNGuesso_ ahead of his inauguration tomorrow. The two leaders discussed the already existing excellent relations between the two countries, continental issues of importance, and collaboration in key sectors to further enhance the existing ties. The President wished his Congolese counterpart success in his new mandate.

As commemoration week ends, but Kwibuka continues. As a young person, did you truly learn something or all you did was monitor who did and didn’t post? As a tip, one thing that helps me to stay grounded and focused. Each year, I focus on a specific topic and study it deeply. This year, I explored the humanitarian crisis during and after the genocide and how it was addressed; last year, I examined the genocide from the perpetrators’ perspective. Thats just few of many topics. Let’s not make commemoration just a routine or performative, let it be a time to learn.
