this is a profound subject which mainstream media can't or won't confront because it marginalizes them. but we are likely to be moving into an age of illiteracy in defiance to literacy--now being called "elite"--when most people will access information/(mis)information from their cell phones in minuscule fragments. to us, the N.Y. Times is a major source of information: to them, print media scarcely exists.
