260322 | how #ONEW learns how to cook through science 🐰🧬🔬🧪 🤓: are you a good cook? 🐰: ah~ as i mentioned earlier, which i keep bringing up, but everything tastes delicious to me if it suits my taste. so instead of saying i cook well, if i follow the recipe the first time, i make a dish successfully. 🤓: in other words, it’s not bad? 🐰: yes, it’s not bad 🤓: that basically sounds like you’re pretty good in cooking after all 🐰: well, i have an interest in it. but honestly, i don’t think of it as some work to get done so… 🤓: you may have not reached that level but you occasionally do it, that’s because you can cook something in a snap if you just look at a recipe. but it doesn’t work for those who hasn’t ever cooked before 🐰: ah is that so? 🤓: you got to have at least a knack for it at some degree to make it work. when you look at it, “oh this recipe, when i cooked by following this, turned out delicious tho?” there’s that kind of thing 🐰: ah for me, i think i kind of have a different approach when it comes to doing it. 🐰: for example, when i watch a science channel, which ingredients brings out this kind of sweetness, or it depends how long it has been simmered or boiled over fire, you know? when i think about those things, i realize, “ah if i do it at this level, it would turn out delicious” — chemical reactions. 🤓: oh… that’s kind of like, “it’s not my mother’s cooking” 🐰: yes, i don’t just dump (the ingredients in) but feel like i had to wonder, “why is it that when you put that in at a specific time, it tastes good?” 🤓: oh… you really ought to think a lot, eh? you really had so much to think of 🐰: i mean, at this point, i don’t have anything to do so i guess i’ve been doing a lot of thinking 🤓: you seem to have a lot to ponder even when you cook 🐰: i think of things like “how does it have a smokey flavor?” 🤓: mindblowing 🐰: do you normally not have such thoughts? 🤓: yes… i’m not a good cook. i even order food from my usual spots. i suppose we’re very much different after all 🐰: if you know a good place, please let me know~ 🤓: well if it’s a different one, of course #온유 #ONEW_TOUGH_LOVE
