Announcement : Completion of my house arrest. We fight not only with our stance but with documenting our own narratives. There are parts of me that still feel the pain of walking through this process but today, I feel powerful, brave and resolute. I am complete and proud that I still stand! I am writing to express my profound gratitude and elation upon the formal announcement of the conclusion of my house arrest. This milestone marks a significant turning point in my journey, and I am eager to embark on the next chapter of my life. There are things that I have gone through in the last two years that I will never say but you should know that I was taking notes, documenting and scribing. When I am ready I will give you a solid book about everything that happened from the day I was convicted until present time. Just maybe I will even share the part of me that you all seek to learn. I just need a moment to breathe and live again! Trust me, it will be worth the wait. I have been watching everything, everything that was said truths and pure lies, but you know I am good with my own pen; I will surely use it! I will never stop writing, nor will I ever not say what I mean. With that being said, it’s been two years in the dark. Life has been wild, scary and some parts of me are shattered. However, I am not weak, I have come to mo far to not live again. Cry and love again, the great Thomas Sankara once said “Comrades, there is no true social revolution without the liberation of women. May my eyes never see and my feet never take me to a society where half the people are held in silence." I am human of course I realise the gravity of my words and I take full responsibility for those, hence I say, I will stand form on what I believe in. I am not born to fear no living or dead creature, for my God is the Father of all! Thomas continues to firmly say “The condition of women is therefore at the heart of the question of humanity itself, here, there, and everywhere. While revolutionaries as individuals can be murdered, you cannot kill ideas" I write better because I am IT, the subject and the explorer of justice, whether it favours me or not! We must take our challenges and walk towards the finish line. And here we are, my house arrest is over. The experience, though arduous, has galvanized my resolve to advocate for the transformative power of literature and the resilience of the human spirit. I firmly believe that the suppression of creative expression should not serve as a deterrent for writers; rather, it should underscore the importance of our work in challenging societal norms and promoting change. Through my writing, I have sought to give voice to the marginalized and to shed light on the often-overlooked corners of our society. I am resolute in my commitment to continue using my craft to inspire, educate, and empower. We should never be scared to challenge those who seek to sit on their brains, to be a writer you have to choose to be ostensibly ostracised. That’s the nature of the game. To those that waited for my downfall, sorry you have to watch another season of my life. I am going to live and live boldly. With no shame or sadness. As I look to the future, I am filled with hope and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. I am confident that, together, we can create a brighter, more just world, one story at a time. I do not seek to be understood, because many didn’t study the case. However, all I have to say is, the story will be told by those who have lived it. I give my gratitude to my family, man, they have seen a lot. And to my readers, you bet a new book is coming! To my friends, you have kept me alive in so many ways. I don’t know how to thank you. September will be a month you never forget! We will celebrate with a 7 day traditional ceremony, 3 cows, 3 goats and we will worship the Lord in honour of my life. May we keep the promises we make to ourselves With love, I still stand.❤️👏

#sapsKZN The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Fannie Masemola has met the Provincial Management of police in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday afternoon. General Masemola first met with the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Mr Thami Ntuli to formally present Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as the Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal for the next five years. When accepting another term to lead policing in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi said: "Thank you National Commissioner for the trust. It was not an easy decision for me because I had agreed with my family that I will only serve one term. The plan was to go on holiday from 1 April but when the National Commissioner emphasized the importance of service to the people of South Africa, especially residence of KwaZulu-Natal, I reconsidered and made myself available to be of service to the nation. To my fellow colleagues, I am expecting nothing less than full cooperation and support. The goals remain the same; to reduce crime, to attain a Clean Audit and ensure that our clients are satisfied with our service to them", said Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi. ML

There was a time when the SABC didn’t just broadcast to South Africans but listened. Shows like 3Talk with Noeleen, Asikhulume: Let's Talk, Interface, The Big Debate, Two Way with Caesar Molebatsi and Top Level with Felicia Mabuza-Suttle weren’t just regular programming but were national town halls. Ordinary citizens had a seat at the table to ventilate, challenge, reflect and be seen in full. Even the Sunday current affairs line-up played its role. They didn’t just report the news but interrogated it, stretched it and gave it weight. They ensured that what mattered during the week lingered long enough for the country to think about it.

SABC@SABCPortal·
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) would like to clarify the matter relating to SABC News programme, Face the Nation. The SABC like any other broadcaster exercises its prerogative to change its programming, based on its operations and set guidelines. This is an industry and market standard that often takes place annually. The changes to our programming are informed by our content delivery strategy and various factors relevant to the overall performance of the show in terms of its audience ratings and revenue performance amongst others. Therefore our programmes are not automatically re-commissioned, but follow a thorough review process. Face the Nation like all our programmes had specific performance targets which were communicated with all the relevant parties involved. It is appalling that there are individuals who are now creating an impression that this specific programme is not recommissioned due to external influence. SABC News has over the years built a strong and reputable brand which is credible and anchored on its principles and values of impartiality and independence. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by any external stakeholder.

Mkhwanazi has very low regard for General Senthumule. He says that she is manipulative. He says that he removed Senthumule from Crime Intelligence because she abused the secret fund account.
