If you don't know how much to give, give 10%. Anything win from 100m upward, drop N10m. Nobody can really teach you gratitude. You either have it in you or you don't. All the excuses I'm seeing are rooted in character flaws in your personalities.

I genuinely don’t understand these takes, the idea that I should hand over 10% of my winnings to someone, regardless of their own standing, in the name of gratitude. That is not gratitude. That is obligation disguised as virtue. Gratitude is not a fixed percentage. It is not something that can be dictated or standardized. It is personal. It is measured by intention, by the recognition of help received, and the willingness to respond to it in a way that feels honest. You cannot legislate that. You cannot impose it. Yes, the gift matters. The weight of what was done for you should inform what you give back. But even then, it remains your choice. It is your win, your reality, your circumstances, none of which are visible to those making demands of what you should give. We do not know what the person giving is dealing with, what responsibilities sit on his shoulders, what trade-offs he is making just to give at all. And so we cannot impose percentages on him. The moment we do, gratitude becomes a formula; something to be measured, something to be judged against. And once it becomes that, it ceases to be gratitude. It becomes entitlement, dressed up neatly and passed off as moral expectation.

You’re missing the point. Nobody forced him/her to drop games, true. But once someone benefits massively from what you shared, gratitude matters. “He does it daily” doesn’t reduce the value.
