Sadly I agree, the amount of discourse on this site for example is ridiculous. Games haven’t even come out yet and people already hate them, or people clearly haven’t played it but are talking about how they don’t like the “mechanics” or storytelling. Beyond frustrating!

@kalaelizabeth Can we jot it down to UE5 being the most accessible to newer developers so a lot more inexperienced devs release on UE5.
Top of my head, E33, Eriksholm's, Hellblade 2, had great facial animations.
Best imo, is RE rn. Worst is atill Ubi's Anvil.

My hot take is that Andromeda wasn't a bad game but it wasn't "earned". I understand why BioWare wanted to avoid the Trilogy due to the controversy around the ending but the franchise needed more build up to leaving to a new galaxy. #MassEffect

The plots of Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 both focus on objects in the protagonist's brain that are overwriting their personalities, but Cyberpunk is more fun about it because sometimes the object takes over and gets into a drunk driving accident with a stripper.

@WeAreMassEffect I was hoping for more Andromeda content or at least a new DLC bridging the Andromeda galaxy to Mass Effect 5. One of Andromedas big problems was dialogue. They tried to make it sound like a 'CW' teen show. Mass Effect is supposed to be gritty and dark not childish teen angst.

Black Flag's combat needed updating, but I'm still wary. This doesn't sound too bad, I just hope it feels good and doesn't feel like Shadows or, god forbid, Mirage.
Combat and Parkour are the main areas im cautious on cause I feel they're the ones Ubisoft might fuck up the most

Not the biggest fan of how the faces are looking, pray they aren't going the RPG style with how dialogue plays out.
But I love how vibrant it looks, one of the most important bits to me. Black Flag is a proper summer game and it needs to feel that way.
