Questioning @Love_Deepspace’s CN Weibo Statement: 1. “The 6th LI is a part of Love and Deepspace’s Long-Term Content Roadmap” ➡️ Sylus and Caleb’s names appeared in-game before their release, and Papergames posted an official notice stating that these two characters would be future love interests, which made it easy for players to believe & accept that these two characters have always been a part of LADS’s long-term content roadmap. To launch a brand-new love interest in a 2.5 year otome game with the bare minimum of foreshadowing makes players feel rightfully uneasy. Because what’s stopping you from releasing a 7th, 8th, or 9th LI with equally miniscule foreshadowing as part of your “long-term content roadmap”? It is very hard for players to believe that the focus of releasing these new LIs is to “create a more enduring experienc of long-term companionship,” when many players feel that you’re already struggling with the current love interests in your roster. 2. “We failed to adequately address everyone’s expectations regarding the production schedule going forward” ➡️ So WILL you be addressing our expectations going forward? You have shown that it’s possible for you to have a roundtable-esque communication platform with your players in your other games, but why won’t you have the same for LADS—a company that makes 19 million on a bad month? 3. “The main storyline that everyone has been looking forward to is already in full production. Far Space Fleet Colonel Caleb and Onychinus leader Sylus will continue their stories.” ➡️ Please look at #4 below to see why I laughed out loud. 4. “A new batch of male protagonists’s solar myth cards is set to debut soon.” ➡️ To translate these two points in simpler terms: 🏢: “Main story takes soooo much work to animate, and it doesn’t rake in any money, so let’s put it on the backburner for now. But myth cards…! Myth cards always make sooooo much money, and our game tends to top the IOS charts because everyone tries to spend more to rank it. And everyone loves to see LI lore right?! So… TA-DA! We’ve finished developing all 6 sets of myth cards for you already! Why aren’t you excited, Miss Hunter??

“The Main Story chapters you’ve been waiting for are currently in active development” Translation: The Main Story chapters are taking so long because it’s free content and we prefer to spend time pumping out banners because those are paid content 🤡

@Ozunozu3 They may have the whole story written down but they need time to develop it in the 3D format and in high quality. It's not an easy job or else everyone would be able to do it.

@Ozunozu3 They don't start when a banner ends but the banners are short-term stories (even if those too have lore drops). Main story is long-term and needs to be worked on so we won't get holes in the plot. I'm not babying the company. I know how writing works.

@Ozunozu3 Tender moments have been moved to dates since the 4☆ cards have been getting animations instead of being voiced only. WU stories have recently gotten an update. They've given us two free 4☆ in less than a month. Orbits gets updated with the new solar cards

@MystMagic26085 Anecdotes only update every three/four months and you think players are satisfied with that? Are we forgetting bonds, tender moments, WU stories, 4 star cards, orbits, and ways to improve abyssal chaos???

@Ozunozu3 And if we strictly want to talk about otome Hoyo, Tears of Themis updates its main story every 4/5 months. Isn't that a long time too?!

@Ozunozu3 @slicksylus And yet lately Genshin has patches without the main story and only characters story or big events because we're getting to the big part of the lore and they want to work to deliver the best experience they can. So why does that work for hoyo but not for lads?

@Ozunozu3 Plus, making main story for a 3D game isn't an easy task. They cannot pull chapters out of their hats every other two days. If they did, people would say it's sloppy.

@Ozunozu3 Again, banners are not paid content. You're not obliged to pay to pull for a card. You don't get a lot of free currency, sure, but you can still manage as a f2p with one LI. Free content linked to the main story? We have it. They're called "Anecdotes" and "World Underneath"

Because it needs to be connected to past and future lore?!?! Would you like a half assed story just for the sake of releasing content quickly?! If they did that, y'all would still complain (apparently that's all y'all can do) about how sloppy the lore is.

@__Ness12 There is no missing content. If a LI is being released later in the game it doesn't necessarily mean that they should have the same amount of content as the ones before him. Also what kind of boycott is if at the end of the day they keep playing and spending money on the game?!

"They spend 20k usd" so?! It's their CHOICE. No one forces them to. Spending money doesn't make them shareholders or make them entitled to mob the company for what they do. Plus, what missing content?! They're following a schedule and they didn't miss a thing.

Since Valko's PV a lot of players have been returning to the game and new ones are popping up because they now have a character catered to their tastes. Not everyone chooses to play out of fomo or chooses a LI that's completely different from their taste.

It's their money and their decision and we all agree with that but spending money shouldn't make them entitled to spam the company about ERASING a character they have put work, time and MONEY into. The devs too are emotionally and financially invested in the character.
