While the wall-to-wall sunshine looked fantastic in the GTA today, the strong wind gusts really made things feel cool out there. In Ajax, parts of town went dark for hours after several trees fell onto hydro lines, causing several stop lights to go dark. #ONStorm

What started off as rain has now turned into snow here in Pickering, Ontario. #ONStorm

The calendar may try to convince you that today is the Vernal Equinox, better known as the first day of astronomical spring, but when you step outside in Rexdale and experience the brisk wind, flurries and cold air, you'll be convinced that winter really hasn't gone anywhere.

It's been a damp and dreary day here in the GTA, especially here in Clarington, Ontario, where there's been a lot of rain and low-lying cloud all day. #ONStorm

It was only on town for a brief period of time, but an intense band on snow associated with snowsqualls coming off of Lake Huron found its way into Barrie, Ontario, this afternoon. In its wake, the squall left behind a few centimeters of snow and lots of pretty ambience. #ONStorm

While I didn't see the sun today, I did manage to find some blue sky above the farmers' fields of Newcastle, Ontario, today. It was definitely a sight for sore eyes compared to all the gloomy overcast skies we've been receiving lately.

It was a snowy Saturday in Simcoe County as a snowsquall blowing in off of Georgian Bay danced its way across the area west of Barrie all afternoon and into this evening. #ONStorm

While there is no watch or warning for it here, the snowsquall off of Georgian Bay has found its way down into York Region. This is the GO Bus terminal / Carpool Lot at Highway 400 and Highway 9 west of Newmarket at 6pm this evening. #ONStorm

Snowsqualls coming off of Georgian Bay stretched far enough inland to affect areas east of Lake Simcoe, including here in the Brechin, Ontario area. #ONStorm
