The Church cannot be spiritually corrupted because it is not merely a human institution—it is the Body of Christ, and Christ Himself cannot be corrupted by human sin. Men within the Church can fall, distort, and betray, but they do not alter the divine life that sustains it; just as rot on the branches does not poison the root, the holiness of the Church flows from Christ, not from its leaders. And Christ Himself foretold this very reality—that His Kingdom would contain both the faithful and the corrupt (wheat and tares, good fish and bad, even a Judas among the Twelve)—so corruption in men does not defeat the Church, it confirms that it is exactly the kind of divine-human body He said it would be.

Look, I’m closer to becoming Catholic than any other denomination at this point but the Catholic leadership is actively betraying my people. So are many Protestant denominations, but at least there is disagreement there. Every church I go to, the leadership is some combination of coward, retard, or traitor. I don’t know where to go. Protestants threw out too much of what was good in Catholicism, but post ww2 Catholicism does too.

If Scripture were the only deposit of faith, you wouldn’t even know what Scripture is without the Church that canonized it. You don’t have ‘receipts’—you have a table of contents Rome gave you. Deny the Church, and your Bible has no authority but your opinion.
