On NASCAR's "Hauler Talk" podcast, Mike Forde says it doesn't matter that Bubba Wallace didn't actually complete a pass while below the double yellow lines; it's the attempt to improve his position that was the foul. Forde: "If he did go below the yellow lines and eventually improved (his position) and he did that to improve it and he wouldn't have gotten to where he did without going below the yellow lines, that's really what matters here in this case. He doesn't actually have to make the pass while under the double painted line." Also says the SMT data didn't matter about Wallace attempting to give the spot back after going below the double yellow line because there are no give-backs with this rule.

Do any of my helpful followers know if there were any gypsy tents at/around the track at North Wilkesboro over the last couple of years? If so, where? I'm headed there for the first time this Saturday 👊🏻

@NASCAR2000s @TNPiners @jeff_gluck But the Numbers show more people enjoy their weekend cup race on a Sunday night over a Saturday night. Therefore it works better for most people. So your argument is invalid. You’ve known this race was on a Sunday night for a long time. There’s ways you can prepare

Or friends to hang out with? Anything fun to enjoy your Saturday? Then cap it off Sunday night with an amazing race?

Anybody else find this part of the video mesmerizing? 🤩 I'm SO glad we still have the merch haulers today. The tent may have been more convenient, but a race weekend without these souvenir haulers just wasn't the same. It's a classic part of the at-the-track NASCAR experience.

I'm so tired of seeing everyone that I grew up watching on TV dying.. My introduction to Steve Waid was that he was "the funny one" on 'NASCAR This Morning' on FOX Sports Net. He'd make me laugh every Sunday morning while I got ready for the race. I had no idea who he was, but he made a lasting impression on me from a young age, and I learned much more about him as I got older. RIP, Steve 🏁

@jeff_gluck There is NOTHING better than walking around the infield of a Cup race track in the morning. All the memories of past races and events that took place in each part of the track flood through my mind. I'll never forget walking around Daytona in the early morning and being in awe.
