From what I understand, @RealRonHoward now has a copy of my book Go, Flight in his possession. Once he reads it and then learns of my epic film, stage and singing career, I figure it's only a matter of time before I get a call to star in his latest movie.

@bobpockrass Agree throwbacks may have run their course. But they were stroke of marketing genius. Such a theme - be it selected throwbacks, display of old cars, presence of veteran drivers, crew chiefs, etc. should always be part of Darlington.

They are not encouraging throwback schemes for Darlington this year. There will still be former drivers coming to the race, and the hope is to celebrate them. ... I'd say there was a feeling the throwbacks had run their course and just tough to keep doing ones that worked.

Was sad to learn this morning of Mike Powell's passing. Known as the "Singing Truck Driver" on the #NASCAR Cup circuit in the 1980s, the team transport driver often sang the national anthem before the Cup races. He worked at Junior Johnson & Associates and later @TeamHendrick when @darrellwaltrip was sponsored by Tide. He also made a demo in Nashville. Powell was battling Lewy Body Dementia.

Loved those wingtips and that Goodyear hat! Dave did it all w minimal to no budget. Not sure I ever met anyone in the garage who didn’t like or respect him! He was part of a special era in our sport!

Any of y’all who believe in prayer, my family could use them. My Mother-in-law passed away last night. She was a wonderful woman. She was always great to me, more importantly she accepted my daughter from a previous relationship like she was her own Granddaughter. I’ll mss her.
