@LAemz It's not a bad thing to expand our front office. Wish it wasn't a Pelicans strategy guy, but I assume he was impressive in some respect.

i want a front office that has a clear vision for success and the ability to execute it, not a front office that is trying to reverse engineer what they think will be successful

LeBron's longevity is incredible, but playing 20+ years just to match what MJ did in 15 actually hurts his GOAT case. Peak dominance > clocking into work for two decades.

@roadto80pct They dilute it with ethanol. Used to limit it to 3% now it’s allowed to be 10% in certain areas. May very well dilute it in others was too

@Benzene21 @NBAStatGuy_ Obviously Lebron is not a Center. He is however the only player in NBA history who can lose his Center to injury and then go fill in for him half the season at an All-NBA lvl. Explain to me how Basketball Reference is wrong listing him Center but Daniel M is right?

@BEN_JAM_IN23 @NBAStatGuy_ The year “he played center” is funny Playing center when you are still playing your normal position means nothing. Listed position is just that, listed. Means nothing. Also, he started only 14 games when AD, deandre and Dwight didn’t start/play. lebron as “center” is a lie

@Ah_Sahm_ @steeder10 They said no to him plenty of times, and I'm putting blame on the positions of power that are responsible for making the decisions. The GM is literally employed to build a team and make deals that benefit the team, owner needs to sign off on trades. how can you blame anyone else?

@NBAStatGuy_ @steeder10 LeBron started his one and one deals, and every off-season became LeBron loudly threatening to leave for nothing if he didn't get the players he wanted. How are you going to blame the owners for that?

Lebron himself drove this trade. But yes, losing all of those connectors, particularly KCP and Caruso, and depth for another heliocentric, inefficient guard was one of the worst moves of the 2020s. This goes hand in hand with LeBron talking about how the competition is too hard for him. He still views ‘big 3’s’ as the recipe to championships. As we’ve seen with every ring since 2018, superstars raise the floor of connectors and connectors raise the ceiling of superstars.

LeBron James’ relationship with the Lakers hasn’t recovered since the failed Russell Westbrook trade, per @jovanbuha.

@MrMrsAHAMED1 @ScottKacsmar Lol, MJ was saved by the expansion era, man couldn’t do anything when the old stars we still hopping. Just had to wait for them to water it down, add the illegal defense, add the flagrant foul, shorten the three point line, change the rules to help him… but here u are lying stil

@ScottKacsmar “Full of shit” isn’t a rebuttal. 80s/90s NBA had hand-checking, physical defenses, less offensive freedom. And 7 years to reach a Finals still shows how hard it was to break through that era’s structure, not the opposite.

And when Kurt Warner started his 1st Super Bowl, he had no TD passes in the NFL going into the 1999 season. So what? We're supposed to ignore how Pippen played in 91 because of the past? Only postseason ever where a player averaged 20/8/5 with 2.5 steals per game.
Scott Kacsmar tweet media
Mr & Mrs AHAMED@MrMrsAHAMED1

@ScottKacsmar When MJ won his 1st ring in 1991, Scottie Pippen was a 1x All-Star averaging just 14.2 PPG for his career with one All-Defensive 2nd Team selection. Far from a future HOF resume. Phil Jackson was also an unproven coach with zero championships or established credibility then

Follow the TL • In 5 years, Jordan has 3 losing years + one 50-win season • Phil takes over in 89-90, they win 55 • Then 61 wins and a three-peat • Jordan retires, Phil still wins 55 with Pippen as Alpha • Jordan returns, soon another three-peat • Phil & Co. leave, Bulls go 13-37 • Phil joins Lakers where Shaq couldn't get over the hump in the 90s • Lakers immediately three-peat before things sour • Jordan plays 2 years for Wizards and can't make the playoffs • Phil and Shaq leave, Kobe has losing record and misses playoffs • Phil returns, Kobe returns to POs • Add Gasol and they go to 3 straight Finals + repeat • Phil leaves after 2011 • Kobe wins one more PO series before injuries • Lakers miss playoffs for 5 years before LeBron era Sure looks like you could do a flow chart of whether or not these teams were real title contenders based on the presence or absence of Phil Jackson.
Coach Josh Williams@CoachW519

@ScottKacsmar Missed my point completely. Im not discounting Phil im putting his credit in it's proper place, which is he was A PART of the success and not the reason for. Phil became great while Jordan was ALREADY on the greatness trajectory. They became goats together.
