What’s going on with #coronationstreet tonight? Terrible to watch - can’t understand the purpose of the multi cameras. Appreciate it’s a tough storyline, but it’s totally unwatchable and quite honestly boring and repetitive. Switching it off 😡

The view from Derwent Mouth Lock just now. And the water levels have gone down a lot overnight. The large boat is actually moored up, not floating in the middle, and the hoops are the top of the ladder on the lock approach #floods #shardlow #rivertrent

Any other narrowboaters angry? Watching the new (Oct 25) Channel 5 series “Britain’s Most Scenic Counties - Cheshire” They are showing Anderton Boat Lift as open & working, when it’s been closed since January25 for repairs. Come on @channel5_tv, this is blatant misinformation 😡

@Tidyboilerone I love them. Someone referred to them as a modern day Stonehenge, which I think is rather fitting. You can see them from miles around and are a valuable landmark

It saddens me to see a small speedboat using Derwent Mouth Lock in this way, when UK canals are suffering low water. The lock was turned around first, and no doubt this boat will be coming back through the lock this evening - that’s up to four unnecessary lock fills/empties 😢

@NABO_Official All good on the Trent and Mersey at Derwent Mouth Lock 1 at the moment. We were on the bottom in the marina and the lock was closed briefly two weeks ago. CRT sent water down from Wychnor/Alrewas and is pretty stable now. Very few passing boats, which is helping a lot

@CRTBoating Brilliant! Thanks for response. I hope the Sawley marinas advise their boaters accordingly. We moor close to Derwent Mouth lock and we see this happening every weekend. It’s especially critical to canal water levels as it’s the first lock on the Trent and Mersey canal

Just discovered that our home moorings are a foot down and the locks either side of Shardlow are closed. No rush to get back then. Cheers from Fradley 🍺🙈😍

These 2 trolleys were left on the towpath nr Derwent Mouth Lock Shardlow, with carrier bags full of stinking rubbish. I walk here most evenings and see all boats moor up here and I’m pretty sure who left this. Utter shame on you - I’ll be looking out, as I know you stay local
