I'm back for this post. I'm REALLY tired. Feeling a bit better, but have it figured out! They test you, X-ray, CT, MRI, stuff with pills, inject lots of stuff, and send you to specialist you never heard of until you're broke, then say it's incurable and bury you. This is our last week with him. He is in too much pain and medication isn't working anymore. He's been the goodest boy ever. He's our lovable assh0l3 (you'd have to own an Akita to understand). We love him too much to keep him suffering. Please no advice. You have no idea what this boy has endured. Survived parvo at 1 year. Had TPLO. Is allergic to multiple things. Has Addison's Disease. But in the end, spinal degeneration is what did him in. Cruel, painful way to go. Coda Bear, we love you buddy.

@FireNewz I had that surgery several years ago. Sorry, but it is painful and rehab is worse. 😢

If you believe in the power of prayer, I could use a few. Tomorrow morning I’m having full shoulder replacement surgery (arthroplasty). It’ll be my first time under the knife.

Thanks to the onslaught of pollen this spring Just a little update: I’m sick, but thankfully it is not Covid, flu, RSV, or strep. Apparently I decided to collect bronchitis like it was a limited-edition souvenir, and I’ve coughed so much I somehow pulled my lower back. I expected stomach muscles to protest. Nope. My back filed the complaint. So I’m in bed with the vaporizer going, drinking fluids, taking my doxycycline, mucus relief, and cough medicine and being supervised by my two best nurses, who happen to have four paws and zero medical licenses. My usual wit and sarcasm are running on low battery right now. Bear with me. I’ll be back.
