Yesterday, we took a bold and decisive step by formally joining the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). At the residence of Senator Seriake Dickson in Abuja, I announced that our decision stems from a deep commitment to democratic values. We are determined to provide our people with a credible platform where they can thrive and realise their full potential. I therefore call on all our dedicated supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to join the NDC and stand with us in this renewed fight for good governance and true democracy. - RMK

The truth is, NDC might not even win the next presidential election. But if managed properly, it will dominate the South in the near future. Southerners are tired of APCPDP; ADC never really had a chance. May NDC succeed.

I was watching the last SEDC Vision 2050 program at ICC Enugu and one of the White guys that spoke was in bewilderment as to why SE leaders just fold their hands and watch as the Gas from the region is shipped to other places while the local industrial cluster in the region is starved of the same resources. Also one of the participants was lamenting on how even when they get the Gas, that companies in the SW gets the commodity at a much cheaper rate. So they cant even compete even on a level playing field. Like some of my friends here have mentioned, allowing these things to chance have not been a productive strategy. Its time to be more intentional. The easiest way to get intentional is by taking politics seriously. Getting our PVCs and turning up to vote. That very small number of votes we produce in the SE, is now becoming a case of coming out for a serious stuff with a stick. Also, intentional voter suppression by our leaders must stop, as it is now denying us the leverage we need to be able to attract quality projects to the region. We must start producing bulk votes from the SE, and then use this to properly negotiate power.

The Chairman of @officialEFCC claims 60% of students in tertiary education in #Nigeria are into #cybercrime. That is not a small matter. If he is going to indulge in the sport of criminalising an entire generation of students, he has a duty to release the methodology on which his claim is based - for independent verification. If not, he shd withdraw the claim & apologize for endangering every young person in university & placing on them the mark of vigilante @PoliceNG action. That wld be beyond reckless, especially while we are on this incident in Delta State. eighteenelevenmedia.com/six-out-of-10-…
