WHEW! Another Irish Week is in the books at Notre Dame Prep. What started in 1976 at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods as a way to bring energy, unity and connection to the end of winter continues to define our school community in Pontiac. From Pre-K through 12th grade, students once again came together for four days of spirited competition, creativity and camaraderie. From themed hallways and team pride to trivia, scavenger hunts, and the always-intense Irish Games, this week delivered both expected victories and surprising moments. Whether it was on the court, in the hallway or on stage, our students showed what it means to compete with heart while supporting one another. More importantly, Irish Week reminded us of what Notre Dame Prep is all about: community, tradition and school spirit that brings every level together. SWIM: THOMAS, GARRETT LEAD STRONG SHOWING AT MHSAA STATE FINALS: The Notre Dame Prep boys varsity swim team made a strong impact at the MHSAA Division 3 state meet (March 13–14) at the Holland Aquatic Center, as qualifiers Aiden Thomas and Anthony Garrett delivered standout performances on the state stage. Freshman Aiden Thomas turned in an impressive swim in the 500 freestyle, dropping time and setting a personal record while finishing 27th in Division 3 — a notable achievement in his first state appearance. Senior Anthony Garrett also had a strong meet, cutting time in both the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke. He advanced to Saturday’s finals in both events, earning five team points. Garrett placed 15th in the butterfly and 14th in the breaststroke, finishing just shy of a long-standing school record with a time of 1:02.49. #NotreDamePrep #MHSAA #StateFinals #HighSchoolSwimming #StudentAthletes #SwimTeam #Division3 #NDPride
